Role of CT Imaging for the Management of COVID-19

Aim: To evaluate the role of high-resolution Computer tomography imaging in management COVID-19. Study design: Prospective study Place and duration study: Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi from 1st December 2021 to 31st May 2022. Methodology: One hundred patients suspected be suffering COVID-19 were enrolled. All underwent Reverse transcriptase-based polymerase chain reaction tests (RT-PCR). The divided into positive or negative depending upon their test results. A computed scan was followed every patient results compared with reverse findings. sensitivity Specificity CT assessed. Results: mean age 59±6.5 years. There 60 (60%) male 40 (40%) female patients. Around 58% found as on PCR while 42% negative. 75% cases for novel coronavirus only 25% Conclusion: Chest HRCT-scan proved a better more sensitive tool diagnosis can considered an alternative screening confirmation.
